UPDATE: Fire at Kemerovo Region mine liquidated, no injuries

KEMEROVO, Jun 18 (PRIME) -- A fire at the Yerunakovskaya-8 mine of coal producer Raspadskaya in Russia’s Kemerovo Region has been liquidated, there have been no injuries, a source in the region’s emergency services told PRIME on Monday.

The source said earlier that all 114 miners were evacuated.

Under preliminary data, the fire was caused by a short circuit in the cable.

Coal production at the mine has been suspended, a spokesperson for the regional coal industry department told PRIME.
